Just One Night Stay in Beijing

I flied to Beijing by JL 781 flight departing at 10:30 AM on June 29 Wednesday, 2005. Due to the bad weather along the flight route, the arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport was delayed to 2:00 PM. I directly moved to Beijing Friendship Hospital by car. Because of heavy traffic, I could reach the hospital at 3:10 PM, where Professor Jia Sanqing and his colleagues were waiting for my arrival. I promised him to visit his hospital in June and July. They prepared 6 cases for me. Since he was working as a chief Interventional Cardiologist in Beijing ChaoYang Red Cross Hospital, we have been good friends each other for more than 10 years.

Professor Jia is now teaching PCI for young colleague doctors instead of doing procedures by himself. I did those 6 cases from the radial approach and finished them by 5:30 PM. Another friend of mine, Xu Bo reached the hospital from FuWai Cardiovascular Center. We moved to Wang-Long-Zhou Seafood Restaurant together.

Wang-Long-Zhou was crowded as always. Although I have not yet tasted, they have even live horseshoe crabs, which is nominated as one of natural rare species and preserved by law in Japan. One of my favorite dishes is knocked and minced cucumber. We had many delicious dishes there, and enjoyed talking and drinking. Next morning, I flied back to Japan by JL 780 flight departing at 8:30 AM on June 30 Thursday, 2005.

一泊だけの北京

2005年6月29日水曜日10:30 AM発のJL 781便で北京に飛びました。航路上悪天候のた めに、到着が遅れ、北京首都国際空港に着いたのは2:00 PMとなっていました。そのまま車で 北京友誼医院に向かいましたが、交通渋滞のために、Jia Sanqing教授とその部下達が待ってお られた病院に着いたのは3:10 PMとなっていました。私は彼に、6月と7月に病院を訪れる、 と約束していました。6例の患者さんが用意されていました。私は、彼が北京朝陽赤十字病院で Chief Interventional Cardiologistsとして仕事をしておられた時からの友人でした。かれこれ 10年以上になります。

Jia教授は現在は、ご自分では手技をされず、若手医師の手技指導をされています。私はTRI により6例行い、5:30 PMには終了しました。もう一人の友人、Xu Boが阜外心臓病センター から駆けつけてきました。そして、皆そろって行きつけの万龍州海鮮料理店に行きました。

万龍州海鮮料理店はいつものように混雑していなした。まだ、食べたことはないのですが、 生きたカブトガニもいました。カブトガニは日本では絶滅希少種として保護されています。キュ ウリをたたきつぶした料理も好きなものです。それ以外にたくさんのおいしい料理を皆で食べ、 色々なことを話し、そしてお酒も飲み楽しみました。翌朝2005年6月30日木曜日8:30 AM発 のJL 780便に搭乗して日本に帰りました。
