Returning to Bangkok after 2 years

I flew from Jakarta to Bangkok on December 22nd Friday 2006. I was invited by Professor Wasan to join the CTO Club Bangkok, which was held in Chulalongkorn University Hospital on December 23rd. Dr. Sunao Nakamura and Dr. Kazuaki Mitsudo were invited beside me. However, they could not join.

The hotel arranged for me by the meeting secretariat was the Oriental Hotel, which are evaluated as the best hotel in the world. That was my first time to stay there. The hotel is located beside the Chao Phraya River.

December 23rd Saturday 2006

The CTO Club Bangkok was first held. I, Dr. Wasan and Dr. Sudaratana from Bangkok Central Chest Hospital were the operators. They arranged 2 difficult cases with CTO lesions for me. For both of the 2 cases, the retrograde approach seemed impossible. Both cases were too difficult for me. I quitted the procedures without success. After finishing my cases, I delivered a talk on CTO in the big auditorium within the University.

We finished the meeting by 4:00 PM and moved together to the Seafood Market and Restaurant, which is my favorite restaurant in Bangkok.

After having dinner together, I moved to the Airport to take the returning flight to Japan. It was a really difficult travel to Bangkok in the end of the year of 2006.

2年ぶりのバンコク

2006年12月22日金曜日にジャカルタからバンコクに入りました。チュラロンコン大 学病院で開催されたバンコクでのCTO Clubに招かれたからです。私の他にも中村淳先生 と光藤和明先生が術者として招聘されましたが、両先生ともご参加できませんでした。

学会によってアレンジされたホテルは世界で一番良いホテルとされているオリエンタ ル・ホテルでした。初めて宿泊しましたが、チャオ・プラヤ川の川岸に建つホテルです。

2006年12月23日土曜日

今回が初めてのバンコクCTO Clubでした。私、Wasan先生そして、バンコク胸部病 院のSudaratana先生が術者でした。私には2例のとしても難しいCTO症例が用意されま した。両方ともretrogradeは無理と思われました。実際にとても難しくって両方ともうま くいきませんでした。この後、病院の大講堂でCTOの講演を行いました。

午後4時には会を終了し、皆で私のいきつけのシーフード・レストランに行きました。

皆で夕食を摂ってから、私は帰りの飛行機に乗るためにバンコク空港に向かいました。 2006年の最後にバンコクで本当に大変な思いをしました。
