After leaving the hospital, I moved to Taipei Central Station to take a Taiwan New Express Train. After more than 2 hours’ train movement, I reached Tainan City and stayed there.

It was my 2nd visit to Tainan Municipal Hospital. My last visit to this hospital was in September 1995, although I have been to the other hospitals in Tainan in 2001 and 2002. Dr. Fang ChingChang was a fellow when I visited in 1995. He was still clearly remembering my last visit. It was very impressive to me that I came back after such long periods as 12 years.

After finishing the cases, I moved to Kaoshiung by car and stayed there. My last visit to Kaoshiung was in July 1999. For many years, I have not been to this 2nd biggest city in Taiwan.
April 20 Friday 2007
I visited Kaoshiung Medical School Hospital from the morning. Physicians there were relatively young. While doing the procedures, Dr. Wu ChiungJen kindly visited us from ChangGung Memorial Hospital Kaoshiung.

After finishing cases, I flew back to Taipei and stayed there for 1 night. On April 21 Saturday, I flew to Fukuoka by EL 2102 flight departing at 8:10 AM to attend the opening ceremony for Fukuoka Heart Clinic by Dr. Kan.

台湾はあまり訪れていません
2007年4月18日水曜日10:00 AM成田発のEG 201便で台北に飛びました。空港に着い てそのまま国泰病院汐止分院を訪れました。そこで2:00 PMから3例のPCIを行いました。病 院は新しく奇麗でした。

病院を出て、台北中央駅に急ぎました。新幹線で2時間以上かけて台南に移動し、そこに宿 泊しました。

私が台南市立病院を訪問するのはこれで二回目です。前回の訪問は何と、1995年9月のこ とでした。もっとも、台南市の他の病院には2001年にも2002年にも訪問しているのですが。 Dr. Fangは私が1995年に訪問した時には研修医でした。その時のことを彼は鮮明に記憶され ているとのことです。12年ぶりに再び訪問した、ということに感銘を受けました。

症例を終えてから高雄に車で移動しそこに宿泊しました。前回高雄を訪問したのは1999 年7月のことです。長いことこの台湾第二の大都市を訪れていなかったことになります。

朝から高雄医科大学病院を訪問しました。ここのお医者さんは皆若い方です。PCIをしてい ると、高雄長庚記念病院の呉先生が訪ねて来て下さりました。

症例を終えて、台北に飛行機で戻り、そこで一泊しました。翌朝2007年4月21日土曜日 8:10 AM発の福岡行きEL 2102便で福岡に向かいました。これは、菅先生の福岡ハートクリニ ック開院式に参加するためでした。
