TRI in St. Vincent’s Hospital

Departing at 12:00 on May 15 Tuesday 2007 by JL 006 flight, I flew to New York. After checking in the hotel on the same day evening, Dr. John Coppola came to the hotel at 6:00 PM. He kindly took me to the baseball stadium of New York Metz. The stadium is huge. Unfortunately Metz was defeated by Chicago Cabs. I could see 2 home runs during the game. One of them was incredibly big. I could not follow where the ball was going. It was much bigger than a home run hit out of the park.

The dinner on the day was only hot dogs and beer. After coming back to the hotel, I easily fell into the bed.

Dr. Kwan Tak-We picked up me to St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center at 7:30 AM, where the annual transradial small live demonstration was held. I did 3 cases there. The dinner was held in an Indian Restaurant.

Next day I came back to Japan by JL 005 flight. This short trip was significant to expand TRI in US.

セント・ビンセント病院でのTRI

2007年5月15日12:00発のJL 006便でニューヨークに向かいました。ホテルにチェック・インし、夕方Coppola先生がホテルに6:00 PM迎えに来て下さいました。それから、ニューヨーク・メッツ球場に皆で向かい、大リーグ野球を見ました。相手はシカゴ・カブスでした。球場はとても大きなものでした。残念ながらメッツは負けましたが、試合中に二本のホームランが飛び出しました。その中の一本は信じられないくらい大きなホームランで、打った瞬間ボールが何処にいったかわからないぐらい大きな場外ホームランでした。

結局夕食はホットドックとビールでした。ホテルに戻ってから早めに寝ました。

Kwan先生がホテルに7:30 AMピックアップに来て下さいました。そしてセント・ビンセント病院で小規模なTRIのライブデモンストレーションが行われました。私は3例行いました。夕食はインド料理の店で食べました。

翌日、JL 005便で日本に戻りました。この短い旅はアメリカでTRIを拡大するために重要なものでした。
