My Seventh Visit in Moscow

I flew to Moscow directly by JL 441 flight departing at 11:10 AM on June 04 Monday 2007. After 10 hours’ flight, I reached Moscow at 16:30 on the same day. After checking in the hotel “Courtyard by Marriott Moscow City Center”, I went to dinner. I stayed at this hotel first time. However, the hotel was the best among several hotels, where I had ever been, in terms of Internet connection and the place itself. It is close to the center of Moscow city. We can walk to the Red Square, Bolshoi Theatre or Caf? Pushkin. The scenery along the Moscow River was beautiful as always.

June 05 Tuesday 2007

I visited the CELT Hospital to do a CTO case. Dr. Avtandil, Dr. David and Dr. Zaza welcomed me. I treated a gentleman with 2 CTO lesions in RCA and LAD successfully.

As similar to the past several years, I came to Moscow as one of the invited faculty members to the 8th Moscow International Course on Endovascular Surgery of Congenital and Acquired Heart Diseases, Coronary and Vascular Pathology, which is organized by Professor B.G. Alekyan of Bakoulev National Cardiovascular Center. The meeting arranged me a classical string concerto concert in the Tchaikovsky Memorial Music Academy Hall, which is located within 100 meters from my hotel. The concerto started from 7:00 PM. The music was very nice.

After the concerto, I had dinner in Caf? Pushkin.

June 06 Wednesday 2007

I visited Bakoulev Center from the morning to attend the meeting and transmit a live case. After doing a lecture on PCI for CTO lesions, I treated one patient with a CTO lesion. Dr. Staferov Anton assisted me as always. I can do PCI very comfortably with him.

After finishing my roles in the meeting, I visited a Sauna located behind Bolshoi Theatre. I enjoyed Sauna and the dish of boiled sweet shrimp.

I enjoyed short city tour in the morning. Because the traffic to the Airport from the center of Moscow is always terrible, I left for the Airport earlier. By flying on JL 442 flight departing at 17:55, I arrived in Narita Airport at 8:30 AM on the next day.

It is famous in many news that the financial management of Japan Airline is not good. However, it was surprise and could not be forgiven that the all of the flight staffs of JAL were same in both of going to and back. It meant they stayed in and enjoyed Moscow for all the day long on Tuesday and Wednesday as well as the day time on Thursday, while I was treating the Russian patients and doing lecture. The Japanese Government had put several thousands million US dollars on JAL to help their management, which came from the tax. I do not know how they can excuse. They have to work harder as other people working in the private companies.

7回目のモスクワ訪問

2007年6月4日11:10 AM発のJL 441モスクワ直行便に搭乗しました。10時間の飛行の後、同日16:30にモスクワに到着しました。今回のホテルは始めて泊まるMarriott Courtyard でしたが、このホテルは町の中心にあり、とても便利です。赤の広場、ボリショイ劇場、カフェ・プーシキンなどに歩いて行けます。何時ものようにモスクワ河沿いの景色は奇麗でした。

この日は慢性完全閉塞症例を治療するためにCELT病院を訪問しました。Dr. Avtandil, Dr. David and Dr. Zazaが出迎えて下さいました。私は、右冠動脈と左前下行枝両者に慢性完全閉塞病変のある男の患者さんをうまいこと治療しました。

過去数年と同様に、私は、バコレフ心臓病センターのAlekyan教授によって開催されている学会のファカルティーとして招聘されモスクワに来ました。今回は第8回です。学会のアレンジでチャイコフスキー記念音楽学院講堂での弦楽室内楽コンサートに参加しました。丁度ホテルから100mぐらいの所にありました。とても綺麗な音楽でした。

朝からBakoulev心臓センターに行き、学会に参加しました。慢性完全閉塞に対するPCI の講演を行ってから、慢性完全閉塞の患者さんを一人治療しました。何時ものようにDr. Anton がアシストしてくれました。彼とPCIをするのはとてもやり易いのです。

学会での役目を終え、ボリショイ劇場裏にあるサウナに行きました。サウナに入り、甘えびのゆがいたものを食べました。
