Stay in Beijing for less than 24 hours

I flew to Beijing by the last flight of Japan Airline JL 789 flight from Narita departing at 18:10 on July 3rd Tuesday 2007. The flight arrived in Beijing at 9:00 PM. I went to HoHai area behind the Forbidden City, where a lot of restaurants and bars are open to midnight, to meet with my friend Xu Bo. I had late dinner with him. He is really one of my best friends in China.

June 4 Wednesday 2007

I was invited to Fuwai Hospital by the 2nd training course of transradial coronary intervention at Fuwai Hospital as one of the faculty members with Dr. Kiemeneij. The meeting venue was at a big auditorium within Fuwai Hospital. Many young physicians from all around China attended the meeting.

After reaching the hospital before 15:00, I transmitted 2 cases through the right transradial approach. Next morning I returned to Japan by JL 796 flight departing at 9:05 AM.

I started from the antegrade route. However, the guidewire went into only the false lumen created by the previous failed attempt. I changed to the retrograde septal route. Even after the successful crossing of the retrograde guidewire from LAD to LMT and the subsequent ballooning, it was quite difficult to cross a guidewire antegradely. The angle between the LMT and LAD was quite acute. Because I had to hurry to catch the returning flight to Japan, I got anxious. However, after vigorous efforts, I finally succeeded. Professor Gao came into the catheter laboratory and congratulated me on this success.

After having lunch, I returned to Japan by JL 782 flight departing at 15:20 on the same day afternoon. Thus, I spent only 18 hours in Beijing this time.

北京24時間未満の滞在

成田からの北京行きJAL最終便2007年7月3日火曜日18:10発JL 789便で北京に飛び、 着いたのは9:00 PMでした。空港から紫禁城裏の「後海」地区に直行しました。ここには遅く までレストランやバーが開いています。ここで私の友人Xu Boと待ち合わせていました。遅い 夕食を摂り色々話ししました。

阜外病院で開催された第二回阜外TRIトレーニング・コースにKiemeneij先生と一緒に招 聘されました。会場は阜外病院内の大きな講堂でしたが、たくさんの若い医師が中国全土から参 加されていました。

講義を終えてから、カテ室に行きました。Xu Boは私のためにとても難しいCTO症例を用 意していました。この会はTRIの会でしたが、敢えて両側TFIで行いました。患者さんはLAD 入口部からの長いCTO病変があり、PCIが試みられましたが不成功でした。

まず順行性で開始しましたが、ガイドワイヤーはこの前のPCIの時に造られた解離腔にし か行きませんでした。このため、逆行性アプローチに変更し、中隔枝経由で入りました。逆行性 ガイドワイヤーやバルーンがLADから左主幹部に通過しても、なかなか順行性ガイドワイヤー は通過しませんでした。左主幹部からLADへの屈曲が非常に強かったためです。帰りの飛行機 のこともあり、とても焦りました。しかし、最終的にうまく通過し、大成功で終わりました。 Gao先生がカテ室に来られ、この成功を讃えて下さいました。

昼食を摂ってから、その日の15:20発のJL 782便で日本に帰りました。結局、北京には今 回18時間しか滞在しませんでした。
