Busy Schedule in China

I flew to Beijing by NH 955 departing at 17:20 on October 10th Wednesday 2007 to attend the Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology (GWICC) meeting as one of the International Faculty members. This meeting is the oldest and biggest one in the field of Cardiology in general in China. After arriving Beijing, I had dinner with Dr. Wang and Dr. Li from Beijing Friendship Hospital.

Next day on October 11th, there was an opening of the GWICC meeting in Beijing International Congress Center (BICC). I delivered a talk on CTO between 9:00 and 9:45 AM with sequential translation from English to Chinese. The president of the Congress is Professor Hu DaYi, who is one of my oldest friends in China.

The auditorium was full. I was surprised to know so many attendants joined the meeting. I could see Dr. Kiemeneij and Dr. Gao. After finishing my talk during lunchtime session, I had another talk on TRI between 14:40 and 15:00. It was a really busy day. After finishing my roles of the day in GWICC, I hurried to the capital of HeBei Province, ShiJiaZhuang, by car on a free way. After 3 hours’ driving, I reached there. I had dinner with doctors from the 2nd Hospital of HeBeij Medical University and other ShiJianZhuang hospitals. Dr. Fu Xianghua, the Professor in HeBei Medical University, is one of the strongest Radialists in China.

October 12th Friday 2007

I visited the 2nd Hospital of HeBei Medical University in the morning to demonstrate TRI. It was my 3rd visit there.

After having brief lunch, I moved to the 1st Hospital of ShiJianZhuang to do several cases through TRI. By taking a car, I returned to Beijing in the evening.

October 13th Saturday 2007

I went to Beijing Friendship Hospital early morning to transmit several TRI cases to the GWICC meeting during the 6th International Transradial Intervention Live Demonstration Course. After finishing the cases in the morning, I quickly moved to Anzhen Hospital to do 1 case with difficult triple vessel disease through TRI during live transmission.

Beutiful Sisters

I did a case with Professor Zhou Yujie. Professor Zhou’s department has many high-class officials and foreign people as patients. It was fantastic that beautiful sisters could speak fluent English. Flying by CA 421 flight, I came back to Tokyo. The scheduled arrival time was 21:00. However, the departure was delayed by more than 1 hour, and I returned to Japan later than 22:00. It was really busy in China.

中国での忙しいスケジュール

2007年10月10日水曜日17:20 発NH 955便で”万里の長城国際心臓病学会” (GWICC)に招聘され、北京に飛びました。この学会は心臓病学全般における学会としては、中国でもっとも古くかつ最大の学会です。

翌日10月11日に北京国際会議場でGWICCの開会が行われました。私は、CTOに関する講演を9:00 AMから9:45 AM行いました。英語から中国語への逐次通訳がつきました。学会会長はHu DaYi教授ですが、私のもっとも古くからの中国での友人の一人です。

会場は満席でした。ものすごい数の参加者がいたのには驚きました。Kiemeneij先生やGao 先生ともお会いすることができました。昼にも講演があり、さらに14:40から15:00にはTRI に対する講演を行いました。本当に忙しい日でした。この日のGWICCでの役目を終えてから、河北省の省都である石家荘に高速道路で車を走らせて急ぎました。3時間ぐらいして到着しました。夕食は、河北医科大学第二病院のFu Xianghua先生はじめ、石家荘の先生方と一緒に摂りました。Fu先生は中国における強力なRadialistの一人です。

午前中はこれで三回目となる河北医科大学第二病院訪問を行い、TRIをデモしました。

簡単に昼食を済ませてから、石家荘第一病院を訪問し、TRIで数例治療しました。再び車で北京に戻り、夕刻に到着しました。

早朝からTRIのライブをGWICCの中の第六回国際TRIライブで行うために北京友誼病院に向かいました。午前中ここで症例を行ってから、急いで安貞病院に向かいました。そこでは、やはりライブで難しい3枝病変の治療をTRIで行いました。
