Busy Schedule during TCT meeting

I flew to Washington DC, USA by ANA direct flight from NARITA on October 20th Saturday 2007 and arrived around 10:00 AM on the same day as always. After having lunch at a seafood restaurant and checking in the Renaissance Hotel, which was arranged to Faculty members, I joined a TRI Symposium as one of the moderators and lecturers. There were Ferdinand, Jean Fajadet, Martial Hamon, and other famous radialists.

October 21st Sunday 2007

There was a CTO session. I was invited to a lecture and moderator in this session. The auditorium was full of many audiences. I did a talk on retrograde approach. After finishing my lecture, I hurried to join the APSIC (Asian-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology) Advisory Board Meeting.

I had dinner with Dr. John Coppola and his colleagues in a fine American Steak Restaurant. The dishes were good in taste but too much for me. After having good chocolate cake, we went to an ESPN sports’ bar to have more drinking. The final match of major leagues of American baseball was just held. The pitcher was Daisuke Matsuzaka. Boston Red Socks achieved a win.

October 22nd Monday 2007

Endeavor drug-eluting stent would be held soon in US. There was a big symposium on Endeavor stent at night. I joined this symposium as one of the presentators, since I was a principal investigator for Endeavor Japan trial. Marin Leon was a chairman. The big auditorium of the Renaissance Hotel was fully occupied by many audiences.

October 23rd Tuesday 2007

There was an early morning session on TRI between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. I joined it with Fina as a lecturer. After finishing it, I went to the Airport to take a return flight by ANA and arrived in Tokyo on October 24th Wednesday. It was really busy days in Washington DC.

TCTでの忙しいスケジュール

2007年10月20日土曜日のANA便で成田から米国首都ワシントンに何時ものように飛び ました。飛行機はその日の10:00 AM頃に到着し、昼食を摂ってからファカルティーのために用 意してあるルネッサンス・ホテルにチェック・インし、それからTRIシンポジウムにKiemeneij, Fajadet, Hamonやその他の有名なRadialistsの先生方と一緒に講師として参加しました。

この日はCTOセッションがあり、私も講師として招かれました。会場は満席でした。私は 逆行性アプローチについて講演し、その後、APSIC理事会に参加しました。

夜は、Coppola先生たちとステーキの店で夕食を摂りました。味は良いのですが、何しろ量 が多い。チョコレート・ケーキはナイスでした。その後、皆でESPNスポーツ・バーに行きま したが、丁度　松坂大介が投げていました。彼の投球でワールド・シリーズに優勝しました。

Endeavorステントはもうすぐ米国でも承認される見込みでした。このため、大きなシンポ ジウムがルネッサンス・ホテルの宴会場で夜に開催されました。会場はたくさんの人で一杯でし た。私は、Endeavor Japan試験のPIですので、ここでも話をしました。Martin Leonが座長 を務めていました。

この日は7:00 AMから8:00 AMまでTRIセッションがありました。私は、Finaと一緒に 話をしました。これが終ってから、空港に向かい、その日のANA便で日本に帰国し、翌日水曜 日に到着しました。あいかわらず忙しい日程でした。
