PCI in Lisbon

I flew to the Capital of Portugal, Lisbon. I took a JL 401 flight to London Heathrow Airport departing at 12:00 on November 11 Sunday 2007. After 2 hours transit time, I change my flight to BA 504 flight and finally reached Lisbon Airport around 21:00 on the same day. After checking in the “Le Meridian Lisboa” Hotel, I went to a dinner in a Fado Restaurant with Fina.

November 12 Monday 2007

I came to Lisbon to hold a small live course on Angioplasty for CTO lesions in Santa Marta Hospital. I was invited by Dr. Lino Patricio, who studied in Barcelona with Fina at the same time. The hospital is located in the center of Lisbon. The hospital has a long history and buildings were also historical. I did several cases with Lino. Dr. Jose Ramon Rumoroso Cuevas also joined from Spain, as well as Dr. Luis Alberto Mattos from Brazil, who was the current President of the Brazilian Congress of Cardiology. After finishing the cases, we had a dinner in a nice seafood restaurant.

November 13 Tuesday 2007

I visited the hospital again from the morning. After doing a case in the morning, I returned to the hotel. On the way back to the hotel, I had lunch in a restaurant. I was surprised to know that Japanese persimmon was called “Kaki”, which came from Japan many years ago.

The dinner party was held from 9:30 PM in a Fado Restaurant “Senhor Vinho”, which was very familiar for me. The food and music there were very satisfactory. After finishing the dinner, we walked back to the car parking place in the dimmed old town.

I departed Lisbon by AF 1025 flight around 11:00 AM next day. Via Paris, I changed my flight to JL 406 and returned to Japan around 14:00 on November 15 Thursday 2007. It was a nice journey.

リスボンでのPCI

ポルトガルの首都リスボンに飛びました。2007年11月11日日曜日12:00発のJL 401便 ロンドン行きに乗り、そこでBA 504便に乗り換え、21:00頃にリスボン空港に到着しました。 ホテルはLe Meridianでした。チェック・インしてから、Finaと共にFadoのレストランで夕 食を摂りました。

Santa Marta病院で開催された小さなCTOのライブに参加するためにリスボンに来ました。 私を招待したのは、Lino先生でしたが、彼は丁度同じ時期にFinaとバルセロナの病院で研修し ていたのです。病院はリスボン市街のど真ん中にあり、歴史のある病院で建物も歴史的なもので した。私はLino先生と一緒に症例をこなしました。スペインからはRumoroso先生も参加し、 またブラジルからは現在のブラジル心臓病学会会長であるMattos先生も参加しました。症例を 終えてから、とても良いシーフードのレストランで夕食を摂りました。

朝から病院を訪れました。朝一例行ってからホテルに戻りました。ホテルに帰る途中、昼食 を摂りましたが、柿が昔日本から導入され、Kakiと発音されていることを知り驚きました。

夕食会は9:30 PMからファドの馴染みの「酒おやじ」で開かれました。そこでの食事も音 楽も素晴らしいものでした。夕食を終え、私たちは暗くなった旧市街を駐車場まで歩いて向かい ました。

翌朝11:00 AM頃発のAF 1025便でリスボンを発ち、パリでJL 406便に乗り換え、日本に は翌日2007年11月15日木曜日14:00頃に到着しました。とても素晴らしい旅でした。
