M’sia Live 2008

I directly flew to Kuala Lumpur (KL) from Narita by JL 723 flight departing at 14:05 on July 9th Wednesday 2008. After arriving at KL International Airport (KLIA) at 20:20, I checked in Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel. I was invited as one of the international faculty members for Malaysia Live Demonstration Course 2008.

KL is the Capital City of Malaysia, which was established by the great past Prime Minister, Mahathir bin Mohamad. He tried to enrich the city with green trees to calm down the city temperature. KL is beautiful for green environment.

July 10th Thursday 2008

Because I had no roles in the morning, I kept staying in my room. I visited University of Malaysia Medical Center (UMMC) in the evening, since my live case was supposed to be transmitted from 16:30.

I was asked to treat a male patient with CTO lesions. I started this case from the femoral artery puncture. However, before inserting the catheters into his body, his blood pressure suddenly dropped. Also, the pressure monitor was broken. I asked the technicians to repair the machine problems. However, they could not do it. I had to stop the procedure without anything.

I came back to the hotel. I had dinner with Dr. SJ Park, Dr. Shim and Ms. Joe Chan, who was the secretary of APSIC. It was a wonderful dinner.

July 11th Friday 2009

I was busy for many roles during the meeting, which was held in the same hotel. After having a wonderful and pleasant dinner in KL with young physicians from Kansai Medical College Hospital, I flew back to Japan by JL 724 flight departing at 22:50, which arrived at Narita at 6:55 AM on July 12th Saturday 2008.

M’sia Live 2008

2008年7月9日水曜日14:05発のJL 723直行便で成田からクアラルンプール(KL)に飛び ました。KL国際空港到着は20:20でした。そのままKLヒルトン・ホテルに入りました。 今年も2008マレーシア・ライブに招聘されたのです。

KLはマレーシアの首都であり、偉大な前の首相である、マハティル首相によって作ら れた都市です。首相は緑を多くすることによって街の温度を低下することを目指しました。 KLは緑豊かな美しい街です。

2008年7月10日木曜日

午前中は何の役割も無かったので、自分の部屋に留まりました。夕方マレーシア大学付 属病院(UMMC)に行きました。私のライブが16:30より開始されるからです。

慢性完全閉塞を有する男性患者さんの治療を命ぜられました。大腿動脈穿刺から開始し ましたが、カテーテルを体内に挿入する前に、患者さんの血圧が低下し、しかもモニターが 壊れてしまい、血圧測定ができなくなってしまいました。技師さんに、すぐに直すように言 いましたが、直りませんでした。このためこの症例は中止せざるを得ませんでした。

ホテルに戻り、SJ Park先生、Shim先生そして、APSIC事務局のMs. Joe Chanと夕食 を摂りました。すばらしい夕食でした。

この日は同じホテルで開催された学会での仕事で忙しく過ごしました。KLで関西医大の若いお医者さんたちと、楽しくおいしい夕食を摂ってから、22:50発のJL 724便で日本に戻り、成田到着は2008年7月12日土曜日の朝6:500AMでした。
