I visited National Taiwan University Hospital at 8:00 AM to do the 1st live transmission. A 60 year old male patient assigned to me had the occlusions both in the ostial LAD and mid RCA. LAD occlusion was chronic, and RCA was occluded 1 month ago. I was surprised how he survived the occlusion. He had severe angina. I started from RCA and opened it by using a Filter device. Then, I turned to the CTO lesion in LAD. I could open the CTO lesion by using the antegrade approach. The final result was nice, so that everybody in the laboratory became happy.
After my live case, I had delayed breakfast in the coffee shop within the hospital. I also had a lecture in the afternoon. After finishing my lecture, I returned to Japan by taking the CI 0106 flight departing at 16:30 for Tokyo. I finally arrived at Narita Airport at 20:40. Thus, my stay in Taipei was only for 20 hours as always.

第38回TSOC学会
成田空港から2008年10月24日金曜日16:45発のJL 647便で台北に向かいました。4 時間の飛行の後、台北国際空港に到着しました。今回は、国立台湾大学付属病院で開催され た第38回台湾心臓病学会に参加するためでした。ホテルはGrand Formosa Regentでした。

ライブの第一例目を行うために、8:00 AMに国立台湾大学付属病院に行きました。私に 割り当てられた症例は60歳の男性患者さんで、左冠動脈前下行枝入口部からと右冠動脈の中程の両方が詰まっていま した。左冠動脈前下行枝の閉塞は慢性完全閉塞であり、右冠動脈の閉塞は一回月前のもので した。この患者さんが命を落とさずにすんだことに驚きました。患者さんは重傷の狭心症で した。Filter deviceを用いてまず右冠動脈を開け、その後左冠動脈前下行枝に向かいました。 順行性にこの慢性完全閉塞病変を開けることに成功しました。最終結果は素晴らしく、カテ 室の皆が幸せでした。
ライブを終え、病院内の喫茶店で遅い朝食を摂りました。午後には講演があり、それを 終えてから、東京行き16:30発のCI 0106便で、日本に戻りました。成田に着いたのは20:40 でした。かくして何時ものように台北滞在は20時間でした。
