The 1st Trip to China in 2009

I flew to Beijing by taking NH 905 flight departing at 10:35 AM on January 8th Thursday 20099 from Narita Airport. This was the 1st trip to China in 2009. After checking in the Kelly Centre Hotel, I had a very important dinner with the Chinese Government officials belonging to the State Food Drug Administration (SFDA) in a seafood restaurant. I stressed on the importance of educational activities for Chinese young interventional cardiologists.

January 9th Friday 2009

I visited Friendship Hospital to do TRI demonstration. I did 7 difficult cases. At the same time, Dr. Kiemeneij visited Beijing. He also joined the demonstration in this hospital. We talked a lot.

January 10th Saturday 2009

I was invited by Dr. Zhou Yujie in Anzhen Hospital as an invited foreign faculty in to the International Summit on Transradial Coronary Intervention 2009 (TCI 2009). I had different roles during the meeting in the morning. After finishing my roles, I hurried to the airport to take a flight departing at 12:00 noon for Harbin.

Harbin is the coldest large city in China. I arrived at Harbin Airport around 14:00 and directly moved to the Harbin International Convention Center, where the 5th North China Interventional Symposium was held. I delivered a lecture on the update of TRI. It was really cold outside. On the screen in the meeting room, there was an alarm on the weather telling “It is very cold outside. Be careful! The warmest temperature is -16 degree Celsius and the coldest one will be -26 degree Celsius.”

It was almost 4:30 PM. I moved to No.1 Hospital of Harbin Medical University. I treated one patient with left main bifurcation lesion there.

After having personal dinner, I joined a dinner party, where relatively young next-generation interventional cardiologists from all around China came together. My friend Xu Bo called them. I joined for several minutes and delivered a short talk about the mutual friendship between Japan and China, our educational program on TRI, and so on. It was a really nice experience for me. After leaving the party, I visited the world-biggest Ice Festival in the world. It was amazing.

January 11th Sunday 2009

I left the hotel at 8:00 AM. It was snowing and very cold outside. Flying by CA 1604 flight from Harbin to Beijing, I took the returning flight of NH 906 departing at 14:50 for Narita. I finally came back to Japan around 19:30 on Sunday.

2009年最初の中国旅行

2009年1月8日木曜日成田空港10:35 AM発のNH 905便で北京に飛びました。これが 2009年最初の中国旅行です。Kelly Center Hotelにチェックインしてから、海鮮料理の店で 中国国家食品医薬品局の政府関係者と重要な夕食を摂りました。中国の若手医師に対する冠 動脈インターベンションについての教育活動の重要性について力説しました。

この日は北京友誼病院を訪れ、TRIのデモを行いました。全部で7例治療しました。丁 度、Kiemeneij先生も北京を訪れていて、彼もこのデモに参加しました。久しぶりでたくさ ん話しました。

2009年1月10日土曜日

私は、安貞病院の周先生が開催されたTCI 2009という学会に招かれました。午前中色々 な役目をこなしてから、空港に急ぎました。そして、ハルピン行きの12:00過ぎの便に乗り ました。

ハルピンは中国の中でもっとも寒い大都会です。そこに14:00頃到着しました。空港か らハルピン国際会議場に直接向かいました。そこでは第五回中国北部冠動脈インターベンシ ョン学会が開催されていました。私はそこでTRIに最新の話題について話をしました。外 は本当に寒かったのです。学会場のスクリーンには、「外はとても寒い。最高気温がマイナ ス16度、最低気温はマイナス26度、気をつけよう。」という表示が出ていました。

既に時刻は16:30でした。私はハルピン医科大学第一病院に急ぎました。そこで、左主 幹部分岐部の治療を一例行いました。

簡単に夕食を摂ってから、ある夕食会に参加しました。そこでは比較的若手の冠動脈イ ンターベンション医師がXu Boの呼びかけに応じ中国全土から集まっていました。私はそ こで日中友好や経橈骨動脈冠動脈インターベンション教育プログラムについて話をしまし た。とても良い経験でした。この夕食会を離れ、世界最大の「氷祭り」に行きました。すご かったです。

8:00 AMにホテルを出発しました。外は雪が降り、とても寒かったのです。ハルピンか ら北京行きCA 1604便に乗り、14:50発の成田行きNH 906便で日本に戻りました。到着は 19:30頃でした。
